What is cosmetic teeth whitening?

Cosmetic teeth whitening is a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface (enamel). It will lighten the existing colour of your teeth by up to 16 shades.

Stains and discolourations

Stains can get removed through teeth whitening appointments, Discolorations on the other hand, cannot.

A good way to look at this is; stains are usually caused by exposure to smoking, red wine, coffee and tea. Discoloration is caused by tooth traumas, age, and certain dental conditions.

Will it cause sensitivity?

This is the question that concerns most people. The key ingredient in most teeth whitening solutions that will cause sensitivity is Peroxide. However our products are peroxide free, so the majority of people find the process completely painless, however, a small percentage of people experience temporary sensitivity to hot or cold for 24-48 hours following their appointment.

I have Crowns/Caps/Fillings/Veneers, can I still have a teeth whitening appointment?

Yes, you can! The teeth whitening procedure will restore crowns, caps, fillings, or veneers to their original colour and will not cause any damage. Please note that the process will not whiten them more than their original colour.

How long with the results last?

For most people, we find that the results are long-lasting. It’s important to remember that exposure to heavily staining food and drinks such as coffee, red wine, and curry as well as tobacco will darken teeth.

Your teeth should stay noticeably whiter for a considerable amount of time after having a laser teeth whitening appointment. We also offer an excellent aftercare range to help you keep your perfect white smile!

I want a natural-looking smile, is teeth whitening for me?

The finished shade of your teeth cannot be predicted, however, throughout the appointment, the shade change of your teeth can be monitored and once the desired shade has been achieved the process may be stopped. We find that the best and longest-lasting results will always be with the full 45 minutes under the light & proper aftercare.
